Power Centered

Submitting to God's will and praying in His desires is the simplest yet most powerful thing we can do. His power is made perfect in our weakness, and prayer is the weakest thing we can do. This is when the power of prayer is revealed.

Before Praying!

You must forgive everyone who has ever wronged you or hurt you. This is not optional and God makes it a requirement for salvation:

Matthew 6:14

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"

I recommend you forgive that person on your mind, and give them a call and ask for their forgiveness if you've wronged them. You might want to give your spouse a hug and kiss, as well as do the same thing to them. God loved us first, even in our sin He stilled died for us and offered salvation. Be Christ-like and forgive, and never bring it up ever again!

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us"

Do not think you're unworthy to call out to God. He is loving and merciful, be humble but do not think you must reach at a certain level of "Holiness" to obtain anything, you can never be worthy! Jesus has done it all for us!

Ephesians 2:8

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God"

James 1:6-8

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do."

I thank you Heavenly Father for giving me another day to love you, another day to seek you. Jesus you are my Lord now and forever. I realize I haven't sought you as much as I should, and I apologize for not putting you first in everything. I ask that you forgive me of my sin, please forgive me for not seeking you sooner. Please forgive me of my pride for thinking I didn’t need you.

[Continue to repent for not listening to God, not believing He could guide you, or times you ignored Him for your own desires. He will forgive and is merciful, but you must confess and repent.]

I confess now that I am giving up my control, I give up my desires, I give up my ambition, I give up my goals, and I declare I want to obey you fully. I confess that I need you to guide me, I need you to help me, I need you! Please have mercy on me and guide my steps, please Lord Jesus show me the way you want me to go, please Lord Jesus show me the areas of my life that are not built on you. Please open my eyes and heart to your desires. Please Lord Jesus guide me and instruct specifically on…

[List out every area of your life you need guidance on, pour out your heart and don’t be too proud to beg, Jesus is listening! Repent, seek, repeat!]

Please make my heart sensitive to your desires, I want to know what you love and what you hate. I never want to grieve you, I want to feel your guiding hand on my heart, I ask you would change my heart to hear your voice in the name of Jesus Christ.

[To be guided by God is to also know His voice, tell God you are ready to obey his voice and ask that He would speak to you. Even setting aside a couple minutes just waiting on Him in silence is so powerful in creating a sensitive heart.]

I thank you Heavenly Father for listening to my cries, I thank you for always being near, and for giving your only son to die on the cross for all my sin. Thank you for blessing me with the revelation of your act of love and mercy on the cross, there is no wisdom higher than knowing you paid for my salvation out of your love. I thank you for giving us your Word, the Bible. I believe every sentence, letter, and page. It is the absolute truth, and I will commit my life to studying it in obedience to your word. I ask you would forgive me for all the times I proclaimed myself wise, I in truth made myself a fool when I did so. Please forgive me of all the times I put my faith in man’s wisdom and not in the power of you Lord Jesus.

I come to you seeking wisdom, and I believe you hold all wisdom. I believe your word in James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” I seek your wisdom for…

[Lay out the issues you’re facing, relationships, work, financial, anything, even the things you think you have direction in. Doesn’t hurt to check with your Heavenly Father to be sure it’s His will!]

I believe you will bless me with the understanding I ask to get through this. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would provide me the wisdom in this moment here and now.

[Keep asking until you feel dismissed by the Holy Spirit. Often just asking and believing is enough for God to reward your faith and give you the wisdom needed in the moment.]

Thank you for listening to me Jesus. I love you and am so grateful that you have provided me everything I need in your Word and Holy Spirit. You are Lord in my life and I will only accept your wisdom as the truth! All glory to your name Jesus!

[For you to continue receiving from God, you better be sure you give Him the glory when others see the wisdom God’s given you for your situation.]

[Be sure to read God’s word and truly believe the gifts are for today. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 12 out loud, because Romans 10:17 “So faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”. And if you think you're not yet worthy for the gifts, read: Romans 11:29 "For the gift and calling of God are without repentance."!!]

Glory to you Lord Jesus for providing us everything we need to accomplish your commission! Thank you for blessing the Church with the spiritual gifts for edification to my brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for blessing me with your Holy Spirit!

I believe your word in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12 about the spiritual gifts. I believe you have blessed your children with the spiritual gifts to edify the body of Christ. I humbly ask that you bless me with the spiritual gifts of your choosing. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would bless me with the gift of faith, prophecy, discerning of spirits, diverse kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues, healing, working of miracles, word of knowledge, and a word of wisdom.

I ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you Holy Spirit would fill me with your power love and sound mind all the time. Please increase my faith to receive your beautiful gifts. I truly desire to use these gifts to help build up and edify my brothers and sisters out of love. Please sharpen the gifts you have already blessed me with and open my eyes of understanding to receive more, I believe Numbers 11:29 “would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them” and I believe you’ve always wanted this for your children.

I now in faith receive your gifting and thank you for answering my prayers. Thank you for always listening to me and I pray you would send me out to your children to bring glory and honor to your name forever and always!

[Just ask, believe God can, as well as wants to bless you with His gifts and He will make it known when it’s time. Often the gifts come for a season or sporadically. Just be sure you’re always giving God the glory and that you use it as an opportunity to plant the seed of God’s word.]

[Receiving healing, like everything else in our walk is heavily reliant on the level of our faith. But there are a few things that can keep sickness tied to a person: demons, curses, unrepented sin, unforgiveness, lack of faith, etc. God sometimes hands in the “eviction” notice for sickness and demons to leave, but until a person claims their healing/deliverance the eviction notice goes without notice. If this is your case, then just have faith. God does ordain some people to suffer for Christ’s sake, but I personally believe if you have enough faith God will give you a “no” so you can start to rejoice in your suffering. However, the circumstances you MUST be led by the Holy Spirit in everything. It might be best to just asking God about Him healing you, and He will make it known when the time for healing will take place. But no matter what, HAVE FAITH! Which is why I put so many verses on this one!]

Heavenly Father, I believe you want to heal me (Please read through all the verses to build up your faith, meditate and believe them!). I believe that by your stripes we are healed, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and eternally. I now in faith receive my healing regarding:

[List our the areas you need healing, your heart, your physical body, your spirit, trauma, everything!]

I ask that you Jesus please touch the area I need healing in and heal me. I believe your word Mark 16:17-18 “…These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they case out devils; they shall speak with new tongues”“…They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” I believe you are Lord, and I receive the authority you have given me authority over devils and sickness.

I command the sickness of [call out the specific sickness, or it’s function.] to leave my body now in the name of Jesus Christ! I rebuke you sickness out of my body, and I command my body to be healed [Put your hands over the area, or if you’re doing this to someone else place your hands on their shoulder.]. From the bottom of my toes to the hair on the top of my head I command my body to be healed completely in the name of Jesus. You be healed now body in the name of Jesus Christ!

Please Holy Spirit, heal my body. Restore my health, bless me with a miracle of healing!

[I speak from experience; you must have faith. Really beg your case before the Lord, if you can shout it out! Do not stop until He speaks! You believe He wants to heal you, tell him, “Lord, heal me! You’re not like a man that you would lie! Heal me Lord, out of your mercy heal me!” Believe it and it will be yours!]

Read These Verses and BELIEVE They apply to you and God WILL heal you!

Joshua 1:5 " I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

You Have Power To Cast Out Devils, And Heal Sicknesses

Matthew 10:1

"And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."

Matthew 10:7-8

"And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, praise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."

Mark 16:15-18

"Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.  And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."

James 5:13-16

"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Confess your  trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

1 Corinthians 12:1-9

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;"

You Must Have Faith

James 1:6-7

"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;"

Acts 14: 1-10

"And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking. Mark 5:28-32

"For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Jeremiah 17:14

"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise."

Matthew 9: 28–30

"And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”

Luke 8:50-56

"While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.

But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened."

God's Promise of Healing

Psalm 30:2

"O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me."

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Matthew 8:1-3

"When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.  And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed."

Matthew 8:14–15

What God Says You Must Do To Get Healed

James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Proverbs 3:5-8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones."

Psalm 91:15-16

"He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Matthew 7:7

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"

James 4:2-6

"Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Jeremiah 44:8-14

"Why arouse my anger with what your hands have made, burning incense to other gods in Egypt, where you have come to live? You will destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse and an object of reproach among all the nations on earth. Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your ancestors and by the kings and queens of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem? To this day they have not humbled themselves or shown reverence, nor have they followed my law and the decrees I set before you and your ancestors. “Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am determined to bring disaster on you and to destroy all Judah. I will take away the remnant of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or die from famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by sword or famine. They will become a curse and an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach. I will punish those who live in Egypt with the sword, famine and plague, as I punished Jerusalem. None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.”

Suffering is GOOD

Romans 5:3-4

"And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;  and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

2 Corinthians 12:9

"And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Isaiah 45:7

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

Isaiah 48:10

"Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Isaiah 24:15

"Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel in the isles of the sea. From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly."

Could Be Demonic

Mark 9:17-29

"Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”

And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”"

Ecclesiastes 10:20

"Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird in the sky may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say."

Romans 6:12-13

"Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness."

Romans 7:19-20

"For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it."

Matthew 12:43-45

"When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation"
